Blocked Gutters & Outside Taps

Blocked gutters and down pipes are a common problem during Autumn due to leaves and other debris being blown onto roofs. If it is safe to do, step outside when it is raining – if water is leaking from your gutter it’s likely they are blocked.

If you have an outside tap make sure it is lagged to protect it from the cold. Covering them up during winter will help reduce the risk of a burst pipe. Make sure you also lag the pipe that leads to it, if it’s exposed. If you notice any taps dripping (inside or outside) report the issue to our Customer Service team.
