Corsham Heritage Trail Project

Eight Heritage Trails have been developed by the Project that aim to provide a series of waymarked, informed walks that are centred on Corsham and connected to Biddestone, Box and Colerne. The trails are provided to promote awareness of the quarrying industry, the milling trade along the By Brook valley and military presence in Corsham, Biddestone, Box and Colerne area.

The Heritage Trail Project aims to promote walking as a social and leisure activity by providing improved Public Rights of Way (PRoW) that will be way marked to aid navigation and the provision of a free leaflet to assist walkers to follow the route with links to further information to improve walker’s knowledge of the area. The Trails will also benefit Corsham and the villages, as a Walkers are Welcome town, by attracting visitors to our area with easy access by foot into the Avon Valley District of the Cotswold AONB.
